What should I do?
Go here.
Do that.
Who is the bad guy?
He is.
Which way is right?
This one.
But simple answers to complex problems are disrespectful to the intricacy of humans and can be hurtful. It's cruel to boil life down to simple causes and effects. Personal choices are complicated and systemic rather than linear. It's accurate to be overwhelmed with the myriad of information amassed around human suffering.
But how do I move forward? Sometimes identifying just the very next step is the only reasonable focus. Giving me more information probably won't help. Instead, I need you to sit with me while the snow settles in the globe and tell me that you're here and we're going to be together while I figure it out.
