When you wake up in the morning, what's on your agenda? I usually have about 42 things planned I need to be prepared for. Work, shuffling kids, time to write, meetings with friends, clients to call back. I often wake up anxious looking at the mountain I need to climb.
I take a deep breath and try to slow down to focus on just the very next step in front of me, but every day somebody steps in and knocks me off my path. That's so annoying. Somebody else has a need, a problem, a question, or an illness that they're now setting right in the middle of my day. Mostly I just want to step around. Move past. Roll my eyes and keep trekking.
But what if the real point of my day is to actually catch and consider the human intervention presented before me? What kind of person would I be if that was my ACTUAL agenda?
